Epic Universe: The Future of Theme Park Innovation

What is Epic Universe?

Epic Universe would be Universal’s fourth gate in Orlando, and is joining Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay. The park, which will cover more than 750 acres, will include several themed worlds, each with experiences inspired by well-known franchises and original concepts.

Confirmed Themed Lands

A water coaster

Meet-and-greets with Toothless and other dragons

A spooky, gothic, horror-like land themed to Universal’s classic monsters, which highlights:

Dr. Victoria Frankenstein’s lab (a big E-ticket ride)

Attractions themed to Wolfman and Dracula

An interactive haunted village with scare zones

Celestial Park (Hub World)

Celestial Park, the hub of Epic Universe will provide direct access to the other lands, including:

A stunning fountain show

A dual-launch roller coaster (probably space-themed)

Themed restaurants and shops

Cutting-edge Technology & Innovation

Epic Universe is expected to break new ground with:

The best ride systems AR, trackless tech, high-speed coasters

An active integration of storytelling elements (such as nintendo’s interactive features)

Ambitious scope (bigger than any of Universal’s existing parks)

What Will Make Epic Universe a Game-Changer

With Disney’s recent editions (most notably Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge), Universal is countering with Epic Universe — a park built to play with the big boys. With a blend of beloved IPs, consumer tech, and immersive design, this park could remake the theme park industry.

Opening Date & Tickets

Epic Universe will open at least in May 22, so tickets will probably go on sale closer to the opening.
